DUE WEST, S.C. – Flagler College snapped an eight-game losing streak in earning a non-conference doubleheader split with Erskine College Saturday afternoon at the EC Softball Complex. Flagler won the opener 6-0, but Erskine took the second game, 7-2.

Erskine left 12 runners on base; eight of those were in scoring position.
Corbally and Hudson got all of the offense they would need on one swing of the bat in the third inning.
Hollianne Dohrn led off the inning with a solo home run to put the Saints up 1-0.
Flagler added insurance runs in the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh innings.
Kayla Fuller doubled and scored a run for Flagler.
Tori Volz collected two singles and scored a run while
Maddy Murphy singled twice and drove in a run.

In game two, Candace Fitch (3-2) tossed a complete game and induced 13 fly outs for Erskine. She scattered six hits and allowed two runs. Fitch walked one and struck out five.
Erskine took a 2-0 lead after scoring one run in each of the first two innings, but an RBI-double by Volz and a sacrifice fly by Murphy tied the game in the third inning.
However, the Flying Fleet answered with two runs of its own in the bottom of the third.
Katelynn Smith (2-5) replaced starter
Erin Anderson in the circle. She struck out the first batter she saw, but the next batter reached on an error and then Gabby Keisler belted a two-run home run to put Erskine back on top. She finished the game a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with three runs batted in.
The Flying Fleet added three more runs in the sixth.
Jacquie Hill and Sydney Smith each collected two singles for Erskine.
Katelynn Smith tossed 3.2 innings, allowed eight hits, four earned runs with two walks and one strikeout. Anderson pitched two innings and scattered five hits. She allowed two runs and fanned three. Hudson retired the one batter she faced in the sixth.
