ST. AUGUSTINE –
Keshaun Hamilton was one of five Flagler College players who scored in double figures as he finished with 14 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in a 90-55 rout of Ave Maria University in a non-conference men's basketball game Tuesday night at Flagler Gymnasium.
Flagler improved to 4-3 on the season while Ave Maria, a NAIA Division II school and member of The Sun Conference, remained winless at 0-6.
Hamilton made 6-of-his-13 shots from the field and made a pair of 3-pointers. He also tallied two assists and had two blocks.
Matt Clark scored a team-high 15 points with the help of three 3-pointers while
Vaughn McCall came off the bench to add 14 points.
Nick Grier chipped in with 10 points while
Austin Howard contributed 10 points, six assists and a career-high five steals.
Keith Gray tacked on nine points and five rebounds.
Flagler out-rebounded Ave Maria 50-32 and had 10 offensive rebounds which led to 15 second chance points. The Saints also got production out of their bench with 42 of the 90 points coming from the reserves. All 13 players that suited up for Flagler played.
Martez Harris led all scorers with 19 points. Julian Adams added 11 points and eight rebounds while Nate Krimsky scored 10 points, grabbed seven boards and blocked three shots. Exor Torres dished out a game-high seven assists and had three steals.
The Gyrenes scored 16 points off 14 Flagler turnovers.
Flagler will break for exams and will return to the court on Dec. 14 at Florida Tech in Melbourne for a 7 p.m. tip.
