Box Score AUGUSTA, Ga. – Jerrell Oxendine led five Flagler College players in double figures with 18 points, but it wasn't enough in a tough 88-77 season-ending loss at Georgia Regents University Augusta Saturday night at Christenberry Fieldhouse.

GRU Augusta snapped its two-game losing streak and improved to 22-6 overall and 15-4 in the Peach Belt. The Jaguars will be the No. 2 seed in the East at next week's PBC Tournament in Columbus, Ga. Flagler finished its season with an 11-15 overall record and a 5-14 mark in conference play.

The Saints weathered an early 13-0 run by the Jaguars to open the game. A Dennis Diaz old-fashioned three-point play with 4:36 left in the first half cut Flagler's deficit to two points (29-27). GRU Augusta took a 39-34 lead into the half.

The Saints took the lead, 53-51, after a 3-pointer by Richard Brown and held that lead for nearly the entire half.

A basket by KJ Sherrill with just under two minutes to play gave GRU Augusta the lead for good, 76-75. That basket started a 12-0 run by the Jaguars and they closed the game on a 14-2 run.

Sherrill scored a game-high 21 points for GRU Augusta. Harold Doby and Ryan Weems each scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Devon Wright-Nelson and Keshun Sherrill scored 11 and 10 points, respectively.

The Jaguars forced 16 Saints turnovers and converted those into 23 points.

Oxendine's 18 points came on 5 of 11 shooting from the field, a pair of 3-pointers and a perfect 6 for 6 from the free throw line. Keith Matthews added 17 points and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds. Brown chipped in with 15 points and six assists while Diaz tallied 15 points. Matt Conway contributed 12 points.
