Box Score SAVANNAH, Ga. – Keith Matthews recorded his seventh double-double of the season with a game-high 22 points and 10 rebounds as Flagler College rolled to an 81-67 win over Armstrong Atlantic State University in a Peach Belt Conference East Division men's basketball game Thursday night at Alumni Arena.

Flagler won its second consecutive game and evens its record at 10-10 overall and 4-9 in the Peach Belt. The win on the road for Flagler was its first of the year. Flagler's last road victory came at Armstrong, 87-85 on Feb. 16, 2013. Armstrong falls to 7-14 overall and 4-10 in conference play. Armstrong has lost six of its last seven games and is now in a last place tie with UNC Pembroke in the division.

Matthews made 8 of 15 from the field and 6 of 9 from the free throw line for the Saints. Dennis Diaz deposited 18 points and grabbed five rebounds. He sank three 3-pointers. Jerrell Oxendine added 14 points while Adam Jones tacked on 12 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Flagler knocked down 10 3-pointers, making 43.5% of those, and made 21 of 29 free throw attempts. The Saints force 12 Pirate turnovers and cashed those in for 21 points.

Hichem Benayad Cherif led the Pirates with 12 points and six rebounds. Eric Eversley added 12 points and five boards. Emmanuel Tiluscar contributed 11 points, seven rebounds and five steals. Darius Morales came off the bench to tack on 10 points, grab seven rebounds and block four shots.

Flagler continues on the road as it travels further north to UNC Pembroke for a game on Saturday (Feb. 8) at 3:30 p.m.
