AUGUSTA, Ga. – Devon Wright-Nelson scored 21 of his game-high 28 points in the first half as Augusta State University cruised to an 82-50 victory over Flagler College in a Peach Belt Conference men's basketball game Saturday afternoon at Christenberry Fieldhouse.

Augusta State improved to 13-8 overall and 9-4 in the Peach Belt. Flagler fell to 7-13 overall and 1-12 in the conference.

The Jaguars opened the game by scoring the first six points as part of a 26-4 run in the first 6:52 of the game.

Wright-Nelson made 11-of-13 shots from the field and completed the double-double with a game-high 17 rebounds. Travis Keels chipped in with 12 points while Kyle Armour came off the bench to add 12 points, six via the charity stripe. Harold Doby contributed nine points and five assists.

The Jaguars shot 56.3% (18-32) from the field in the first half which led to a 47-19 score at the half. Augusta State held Flagler to 32% (8-25) shooting from the field.

Jarrod Branco (Hudson, Fla., Hudson HS) led Flagler with 13 points and four assists. Matt Clark (St. Augustine, Fla., St. Augustine HS) added 12 points, five rebounds and four assists. Chad July (Fort White, Fla., Bridgton (Maine) Academy) grabbed a team-high six rebounds.

Flagler's 50 points were the fewest scored in a game since Dec. 14, 1995 in an 81-46 loss against Rollins College.

Flagler hosts Armstrong Atlantic State University Feb. 8 at 7:30 p.m. at Flagler Gymnasium.
