WEST PALM BEACH – Matt Clark led a balanced scoring attack with 15 points and added four steals in Flagler College's 83-49 triumph over Palm Beach Atlantic University in a non-conference men's basketball game Saturday afternoon at Rubin Arena.

Flagler shot 58.6% (17-29) from the field in the second half and out-scored PBA by 24 points.

Flagler improved to 4-1 on the season after playing its first game in 10 days. Palm Beach Atlantic lost its fourth in a row and dropped to 1-6.

Matt Conway added 12 points, all on four 3-pointer baskets and he added five rebounds. Jordan Warner tacked on 11 points and six rebounds. Adam Jones contributed seven points, eight rebounds and a game-high four assists for the Saints.

Flagler held Palm Beach Atlantic to 23.1% (6-26) shooting from the field in the first half and 30.5% (18-59) for the game. The Saints dominated in the paint out-scoring the Sailfish 36-18.

Marcus Hardy led PBA with 13 points, eight rebounds and three steals. Christian Martinez added 10 points, half of which came on five free throws. Johnny Lantz chipped in with 10 points coming off of the bench while Nate Vera grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds.

A Conway 3-pointer with 14:29 left in the first half wiped out a 7-6 PBA lead and sparked a 14-3 Flagler run over the next 8:10 to take control of the game. The Saints never trailed again.

The Saints took a 31-21 lead into the half and then used a 13-0 run early in the second half to build a 21-point lead. Flagler would go on to lead by as many as 37.

Flagler will open Peach Belt Conference play on Saturday (Dec. 15) against league newcomer Young Harris College at approximately 3:30 p.m.
