ST. AUGUSTINE – Devonte Thomas came off the bench to score a game-high 21 points and sank five 3-pointers to lead Augusta State University to a 92-55 triumph over Flagler College in a Peach Belt Conference men's basketball game Wednesday night at Flagler Gymnasium.

Augusta State snapped a three-game losing streak and improved to 3-4 overall and 1-1 in the Peach Belt. Flagler suffered its third consecutive loss and fell to 6-4 overall and 0-3 in conference play.

Devon Wright-Nelson recorded a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds while Tye Beal added 14 points and made all six of his free throw attempts. Harold Doby contributed 11 points for the Jaguars. O'Neal Armstrong and D'Angelo Boyce each tallied seven assists.

Augusta State shot 48.4% (30-62) from the field, including 63.3% (19-30) from the field in the second half. The Jaguars out-rebounded the Saints 47-28 and grabbed 17 offensive boards which they turned into 21 second chance points.

Matt Clark (St. Augustine, Fla., St. Augustine HS) added 12 points while Ryan Barnes (Oviedo, Fla., Newberry College) came off the bench to provide 10 points and three rebounds. Jarrod Branco (Hudson, Fla., Hudson HS) led Flagler with seven rebounds and four assists.

Flagler was held to a season-low 35.2% shooting from the field.

The Jaguars led from the tip to the final buzzer. They used an 18-5 run early in the first half to pull away with a 26-10 lead with 10:06 left. Kelth Cameron poured in six points in the run.

Flagler hosts UNC Pembroke on Saturday (Dec. 17) at 3:30 p.m. at Flagler Gymnasium.
