ST. AUGUSTINE – Matt Clark (St. Augustine, Fla., St. Augustine HS) scored a team-high 24 points as Flagler College rolled to a 108-78 win over Trinity College of Florida in a non-conference men's basketball game Saturday afternoon at Flagler Gymnasium.

Flagler improved to 3-0 on the season while Trinity fell to 1-5.

Clark sank six 3-pointers to pace the Flagler attack. Ante Gospic (Zadar, Croatia, Polk State College) recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds while Chad July (Fort White, Fla., Bridgton (Maine) Academy) added his own with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Louis Ricker (Tallahassee, Fla., Leon HS) came off the bench to score 16 points in just 12 minutes of action. Addison Smith (West Palm Beach, Fla., College of Central Florida) nearly turned in a triple-double as he scored 11 points, dished out 11 assists and grabbed seven rebounds.

Flagler shot 60.6% (43-71), including a 61.8% (21-34) clip in the first half. The Saints dominated the paint, out-scoring the smaller Tigers 58-12 and out-rebounding Trinity 52-30.

John Bianchi tallied a team-high 24 points for Trinity. He made six 3-pointers. Jirous Knight, Jr., added 13 points, six rebounds and four assists while Rasheed Hall came off the bench to provide 14 points and distribute six assists.

Trinity made 43.8% (14-32) of its 3-pointers, including make 9-of-18 in the first half.

Flagler opened the game on a 26-10 run, but Trinity was able to hang around due to its outside shooting and trail the Saints 52-38 at the half.

After Buckshon sank a pair of free throws to close Trinity's deficit to nine (54-45), Flagler went on a 28-7 run over the next 6:58 to blow the game wide open. Clark sank all six of his 3-pointers in that run.

Flagler hosts the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras on Monday (Nov. 21) at 7 p.m. at Flagler Gymnasium.
