ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. − The Flagler College men's soccer team earned its eighth win of the season in a 2-1 victory over Barry University Saturday night at Saints Field. The Saints advance to 8-5-2 for the season, and the Barry Buccaneers fall to a 10-5-1 mark.

Will Frandsen (Orange Park, Fla./Orange Park HS) scored the first goal of the game, and the first of his collegiate career, to put Flagler on the board in the first period. A shot from Brad Vinciguerra (Syracuse, N.Y./Onondaga CC) advanced the score 2-0 after a pass from Conor Killeen (Dublin, Ireland/Colaiste Ide). Barry did not score until 20 minutes into the second half, coming from a shot by Sascha Koettig off of a Mark Anderson pass.

Flagler out shot the Buccaneers 15-10. Keeper Zach Volpi (Altamonte Springs, Fla./Bishop Moore HS) earned three saves while Barry goalkeeper Devala Gorrick tallied five. Total fouls for the game came to 24.

The Saints take the field for their final home game (and Senior Night) of the season on Saturday, Nov. 1, against Palm Beach Atlantic at 6 p.m.
