MIAMI SHORES, Fla. − Vuk Kojic came off the bench to score a pair of goals and Henry Apaloo tallied a pair of assists as Barry University defeated Flagler College 4-1 Saturday night in a non-conference men's soccer match at Buccaneer Field. Barry snapped a three-match winless streak and raised it record to 5-3-1 while Flagler's search for its first win continues and it falls to 0-7-1.

Mark Kilpatrick scored the first goal of the match in the 23rd minute after receiving a pass, on the run, from Apaloo. Kilpatrick blasted the shot to the far post. Tommy Nodland also was credited with an assist on the play.

The score would stand at 1-0 as both teams went into the half. Barry held an 8-4 lead in shots and 5-2 advantage in corner for the first 45 minutes.

The Bucs came out strong in the second half and they didn't wait too long to incease their lead. Apaloo fed a ball deep into the right corner where Kojic crossed it to Mark Reynolds who headed the ball into the goal in the 53rd minute.

Kojic scored an insurance goal in the 59th minute when he picked off a pass in the penalty area and sent the ball into the back of the net for a 3-0 Barry lead.

In the 62nd minute Marcus Intek (Jena, Germany/Bauhaus University) scored his first collegiate goal as he took advantage of a careless pass by Barry and booted the ball in from 40 yards out to get the Saints on the board.

In the 80th minute, Kojic was in the right place at the right time as he corralled a rebound off a shot by Reynolds that Josiah Holtz (Clermont, Fla./East Ridge HS) could not find a handle to, and placed a shot into the lower left corner of the goal.

For the match, Barry outshot Flagler 19-16 and took eight corners to Flagler's three.

Devala Gorrick saved six shots for Barry while Holtz also tallied six saves before giving way to Zach Volpi (Altlamonte Springs, Fla./Bishop Moore Catholic HS) who recorded one save in just over 10 minutes.

Flagler will host No. 21 (NAIA) Savannah College of Art and Design on Sept. 29 at 7 p.m.
