FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. − Matt Werasko scored a goal off a rebound in the 30th minute and that is all Christian Brothers University of Memphis, Tenn., would need in a 2-0 win over Flagler College Saturday afternoon in a non-conference men's soccer match at the McCurry Soccer Complex South. Christian Brothers raises its record to 5-2 on the season while Flagler falls to 0-6-1.

Werasko was in the right place at the right time as a cross from Ryan Peel was deflected off a couple of players in front of the goal and right to the waiting Werasko who touched the ball into the net.

Oisin Crean scored an insurance goal for the Bucs when he received a pass from the left wing by Werasko five yards in front of the Flagler goal in the 46th minute.

Daniel Foster recorded two saves an earned the shutout for Christian Brothers. Josiah Holtz (Clermont, Fla./East Ridge HS) tallied two saves before giving way to Zach Volpi (Altamonte Springs, Fla./Bishop Moore Catholic HS), midway through the second half.

CBU outshot Flagler 13-12 and held a 10-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Flagler plays host to Florida Southern College on Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. at Saints Field.
