Box Score DAVIE, Fla. − Michael Kammermeyer’s goal in the 75th minute broke a scoreless tie and led Nova Southeastern University to a 2-0 win over Flagler College on a rain-soaked Saturday night in at the NSU Complex. The loss snapped Flagler’s four-match winning streak and extended Nova’s win streak to four.
Kammermeyer chested Martin Johansson’s pass and put the ball into the net from the left side of the goal to give Nova Southeastern (4-1-0) the lead. The Sharks tacked on a late own goal when a Flagler defender tried to clear the ball out of the goal box but wound up putting the ball into the upper left-corner of the goal in the 89th minute.
Jarod Rennick earned his first shutout of the season, tallying three saves.
Sean Gormley (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee HS) recorded two shots for Flagler (4-2-0) and Jordan Holtz (Clermont, Fla./South Lake HS) collected six saves.
Nova out-shot Flagler 10-7 and held a 10-5 advantage in corners.
Flagler takes on former Florida Sun Conference rival Warner Southern College on Tuesday at 5 p.m. in Lake Wales.
