ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. − Jon Olafsson’s goal in the 81st minute broke a 1-1 tie to lead the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) to a 3-1 win over Flagler College in a non-conference men’s soccer match Saturday night at Saints Field.

Olafsson, situated in front of Flagler’s goal box, received a pass from Josiah Miller that was threaded under a Flagler defender’s leg and Olafsson booted into the right of the net.

Zac Behrmann got a similar goal in the 84th minute when he directed a pass from Olafsson into the net to give SCAD (7-5-1) the 3-1 lead.

Dan Fadida scored the Bees’ first goal, an equalizer, off a free kick from 22 yards out in the 31st minute.

Tommi Sarkkinen tallied six saves in the match for SCAD.

The Saints held a 19-12 advantage in shots, but the Bees held a 5-1 mark in corner kicks.

Boris Kalff (Cologne, Germany/Sports University of Cologne) scored his third goal of the season in the 16th minute off a free kick. Jordan Holtz (Clermont, Fla./South Lake HS) recorded five saves for Flagler (7-5-0).

Flagler College hosts St. Xavier University Oct. 15 at 11 a.m. at Saints Field. SCAD returns to Florida Sun Conference action Oct. 14 in a match at Warner Southern at 7 p.m.
