DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Elizabeth Layfield (Gainesville, Fla./Florida CC-Jacksonville) and Liz Moyer (Moore, S.C./Spartanburg HS) each recorded 11 kills to help lead Flagler College to a 3-1 (29-31, 30-20, 30-20, 30-18) win over Pikeville College in the final match of pool play at the Daytona Beach Blast Saturday afternoon.

Marlen Garcia (Coral Springs, Fla./Coral Springs HS) led the defense with 13 digs while Katie Pommier (Crescent City, Ill./Crescent Iroquios HS) registered 29 assists for Flagler (4-3). Carrie Arnette (Keystone Heights, Fla./St. Johns River CC) added 18 assists and four service aces for the Lady Saints.

Hilary McKenzie led Pikeville (2-5) with 10 kills. Sarah Meyers tallied 24 assists and 14 digs for the Bears.

Flagler will now play Hastings in the Gold Division Semifinal. The winner advances to the Championship Match at 7 p.m.
