MOUNT BERRY, Ga. — Third-ranked (NAIA) Berry College scored three second half goals en route to a 3-1 win over Flagler College in a non-conference men’s soccer match Saturday afternoon at the Ford Soccer Field.

Jon Mastrangelo scored an unasasisted goal in the 54th minute to give Berry (1-0) the early advantage. Just three minutes later, Tommy Mauer notched the eventual game winner when he re-directed a free kick into the lower corner of the goal past Flagler goalkeeper Mike Allard (North Lauderdale, Fla./Coconut Creek HS). David Bell added an insurance goal in the 80th minute. Mike Wentzler notched one save for the Vikings.

David Iafrate (Gainesville, Fla./Buchholz HS) scored his first collegiate goal in the 82nd minute off an Andres Jaramillo (Orlando, Fla./Cypress Creek HS) assist. Allard tallied seven saves for the Saints.

Flagler will take on Jacksonville University Thursday evening. The kickoff is set for 7 p.m., but the site has not been determined. The match is scheduled to be played at Jacksonville, but could be played at Flagler depending upon the lighting situation at JU.
