ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. −
Ben De La Cruz (Orlando, Fla./University HS) recorded a double-double with a team-high 19 points and 14 rebounds to lead Flagler College to a 106-89 win over the Augusta Pistons in a men's basketball exhibition game Saturday night at Flagler Gym.
Sam Jozenville (Orlando, Fla./Santa Fe CC) added another double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds and
Jon Matthews (Daytona Beach, Fla./Atlantic HS) tallied 17 points and six assists for Flagler. Six Saints scored in double figures on the night.
Bryan Borstelmann (Bradenton, Fla./Manatee HS) added 16 points and
Kyle Cregan (New Port Richey, Fla./J.W. Mitchell HS) chipped in with 14 points.
J.P. Clark (St. Augustine, Fla./Nease HS) came off the bench to add 13 points for the Saints.
John Randolph, a 2004 graduate of Flagler, scored a game-high 40 points on 14-of-22 hooting from the field and a perfect 12-of-12 from the charity stripe. Marion Allums (Flagler '02) added 15 points and nine rebounds while Ben Kersenbrock (Flagler '03) added 10 points, just back from Australia.
Flagler will open the season Nov. 3 against Emmanuel College of Franklin Springs, Ga., at 7 p.m.
