Box Score ST. AUGUSTINE – No. 9 (Campbell's/ITA Division II Top 25) Clayton State University edged No. 15 Flagler College 5-4 in a Peach Belt Conference women's tennis match Sunday afternoon at the Flagler Tennis Center.

Clayton State improved to 2-2 overall and 2-0 in the Peach Belt. Flagler had its three-match winning streak snapped and fell to 3-4 overall and 3-1 in conference play.

Flagler started the day with a pair of wins in doubles play. Veronica Figueroa (Orlando, Fla., Cypress Creek HS) and Jennifer Saviano (Davie, Fla., St. Thomas Aquinas HS) rolled to an 8-1 win over Hannah Keeling and Martina Dedaj at No. 2. Krista Ingrilli (Ocala, Fla., Trinity Catholic HS) and Esther Santiago blanked Charlotte Fabricius and Alyze Pagal 8-0 at No. 3.

However, the Saints were only able to record two points in singles play. Rachel Gould (Toronto, Ontario, Vaughan Road Academy) won in straight sets over Dedaj at No. 4 by the scores of 6-2 and 6-3. Santiago won her singles match 6-0 and 6-2 over Fabricius at No. 5.

Flagler will travel to Americus on Friday (Mar. 9) for a match at Georgia Southwestern State University.
