No. 7 Lady Cougars triumph over No. 15 Saints, 7-2

Box Score ST. AUGUSTINE – No. 9 (Campbell's/ITA Division II Top 25) Columbus State University defeated No. 15 Flagler College 7-2 in a Peach Belt Conference women's tennis match Sunday afternoon at the Flagler Tennis Center.

Columbus State remains undefeated at 11-0 overall and 2-0 in the Peach Belt. Flagler fell to 4-6 overall and 4-2 in the conference.

The Lady Cougars swept through the doubles competition. Flagler earned both of its points in singles play. Jennifer Saviano (Davie, Fla., St. Thomas Aquinas HS) upset No. 26 Carolin Weikard in straight sets, 6-3 and 6-3. Rachel Gould (Toronto, Ontario, Vaughan Road Academy) defeated Madeline Johnson at No. 4 by the scores of 7-6 (7-1), 5-7 and 10-7.

Flagler hosts No. 29 Indiana University of Pennsylvania in a non-conference match at 2:30 p.m. on Monday (Mar. 12) at the Flagler Tennis Center.
