AUGUSTA, Ga. – Flagler College junior center Rachel Brown (Clearwater, Fla., Clearwater HS) tied her school single-game record with seven blocked shots, but it wasn't enough as Augusta State University rolled to a 63-35 win in a Peach Belt Conference women's basketball game Saturday afternoon at Christenberry Fieldhouse.

Augusta State won its third game in a row and improved to 11-10 overall and 6-7 in the Peach Belt. Flagler lost its eighth consecutive game and fell to 2-18 overall and 1-12 in conference play.

The Lady Jaguars opened the game on a 13-2 run and never looked back. Augusta State led by as many as 18 (33-15) in the first half and held a 34-18 lead at the break.

Augusta State held Flagler to 27.8% (5-18) shooting from the field in the first half. The Lady Jaguars led by as many as 31 in the second half against a depleted Saints roster. Flagler only suited up seven players for the game.

Flagler shot a season-low 22.7% (10-44) from the field and turned the ball over 23 times which led to 21 Augusta State points.

Jemimah Ashby scored 13 of her game-high 17 points in the second half for the Lady Jaguars. Laci Schreiber added 12 points and nine rebounds. Brittany White handed out five assists.

Charlsea Owen (St. Augustine, Fla., Pedro Menendez HS) scored a team-high 10 points while Treva Mason (Orlando, Fla., West Orange HS) added seven points and eight rebounds for the Saints.

The last time Brown blocked seven shots in a game was Jan. 22, 2011 vs. Francis Marion University.

Flagler hosts Armstrong Atlantic State University on Feb. 8 at 5:30 p.m. at Flagler Gymnasium.
