Box Score ORLANDO – Palm Beach Atlantic University upset No. 13 Flagler 5-4 in a non-conference women's tennis match Saturday afternoon at Sanlando Park.

PBA improved to 3-1 on the season while Flagler dropped to 0-2.

Esther Santiago and Krista Ingrilli (Ocala, Fla., Trinity Catholic HS) earned Flagler's only points in doubles play with an 8-6 win over Jessica Whaton and Alexis Antista at No. 3. Veena Vasquez and Leydi Zora won 8-4 over Rachel Gould (Toronto, Ontario, Vaughan Road Academy) and Barbora Sebkova (Prague, Czech Republic, Gymnázium a Sportovní gymnázium Prípotocní) at No. 1. Victoria Baca and Natalia Trotter edged Veronica Figueroa (Orlando, Fla., Cypress Creek HS) and Jennifer Saviano (Davie, Fla., St. Thomas Aquinas HS) at No. 2 by the score of 8-5.

Figueroa, Gould and Santiago each posted straight set wins in singles play. Figueroa took down Vasquez 6-2 and 6-2 at No. 1 singles. Gould won 6-4 and 6-2 over Trotter at No. 4. Santiago rolled to a 6-1 and 6-1 win over Wharton at No. 5.   

Flagler takes on Stetson University on Monday (Feb. 13) at the Flagler Tennis Center.
