Joel Dahlenburg (St. Augustine, Fla./Bartram Trail HS) and
Greg Mergel (Allenwood, N.J./Wall Township HS) both carded 3-over par 75's to help lead Flagler College to a 307-312 dual match victory over No. 21 (Golf World/NIKE Division II Top 25) Rollins College Thursday afternoon at the Palencia Club (par 72; 7,073 yards).
J.D. Guiney of Rollins had the best round of the day with a 1-over 73.
Dahlenburg was just coming off earning medalist honors at the Outback Steakhouse Intercollegiate which concluded Tuesday in Panama City.
Patrick Lamb (Lake ales, Fla./Western Carolina U.) shot a 78 while
Alex Bennett (Rochester, Mich./Scottsdale CC) finished one stoke behind with a 79.
Michael Lamping (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Jerome HS) rounded out the Flagler quintet with an 80.
Colin Dolph carded a 6-over 78 for the Tars and was followed by Fatehbir Dhaliwal and Hunter Stone who both shot 81's. Charles Fitzgerald rounded out Rollins with an 86.
Flagler returns to action on Feb. 21-23 at the Armstrong Atlantic Pirate Invitational at Savannah, Ga.
