“Bud” Beech played on the first men’s basketball teams here at Flagler College. He led the team in assists and even served as a resident assistant in one of the dorms.
Beech’s life after Flagler has been even more prosperous. He is a five-time “Coach of the Year” in golf and a two-time “Coach of the Year” in basketball at Allen D. Nease High School in Ponte Vedra. His 2002 Panthers won the Class 3A State Championship with a 75-59 win over Key West High.
He and his wife, Joanne, live in Ponte Vedra Beach with their four children: Beau, Olivia, EveEmily and Spencer.
