Flagler College Athletics

Gordon Jones received national attention in the May 1977 issue of Sports Illustrated magazine as the "Athlete of the Week" while playing tennis at Flagler. In addition to this publicity, the 1977 graduate was a 1977 NAIA Singles Champion as well as the 1977 Doubles Champion. He was also the Most Valuable Player on the 1977 NAIA National Championship team and a first team All-American. Currently, Jones is an attorney at Jones & McCorkie in Jacksonville.
