Chris Barnwell starred on the diamond from 1997-2000. He was the first baseball player at Flagler to reach the Major Leagues as he made his debut for the Milwaukee Brewers against the Detroit Tigers on June 20, 2006. He was drafted in the 25th Round of the 2001 Major League Draft by the Brewers. Barnwell also had stints in the Florida Marlins, Houston Astros and Pittsburgh Pirate organizations. He holds several records at Flagler including career marks in hits, singles, doubles, runs batted in and assists. Barnwell was a two-time honorable mention NAIA All-America selection and was a member of Flagler’s All-Decade Team (2000’s).
