Betty Stansel - Stansel was born in St. Augustine and graduated from Flagler College in 1976 with a degree in physical education. She was a member of several state championship teams while at Flagler: Softball 1972-76, Volleyball 1972-73 and Basketball 1972-73, 1973-74. She was selected First-Team All-State softball player all four years and was honored as outstanding player of the year in softball, volleyball and basketball. She is currently the department head of Health and Physical Education at Pedro Menendez High School, as well as the head varsity volleyball coach. She has won numerous district titles and has had two state final-four appearances.
