Box Score WINTER PARK – Chuck Harper's layup with 30 seconds left was just enough to give Mansfield University a 56-54 win over Flagler College in the consolation game of the 38th annual Winter Park Rotary Tangerine Tournament Sunday afternoon at Warden Arena.

Mansfield snapped its two-game losing streak and improved to 3-6 overall. Flagler suffered its fourth consecutive loss and dropped to 4-5.

Mansfield forced 14 Flagler turnovers and turned those into eight points. The Mountaineers perimeter defense held the Saints to 8.3% (1-12) shooting from 3-point range, Flagler's lowest percentage from long range since 6.7% (1-15) performance against the University of West Florida (11/21/09). The Mountaineers bench contributed 20 points.

Ante Gospic recorded his second consecutive double-double with 18 points and 16 rebounds. He earned all-tournament team honors. Adam Jones scored 16 of his 18 points in the second half and he added seven rebounds. Matt Clark chipped in with 10 points. Matthias Sigurdarson tallied a season-high five assists.

Flagler made 82.6% (19-23) of its free throws.

The game featured 10 ties and four lead changes. Gospic drew a foul on Bell with 44 seconds left and made both free throws to tie the game at 54. Harper took the inbounds pass and drove through the lane for a layup to put Mansfield up by a basket with 30 seconds left.

The Saints called timeout after the ball got past half-court and then called another timeout with 8.1 seconds left. The pass to Gospic at the low-post went off of his hands and Taijay Williams came away with the ball as the horn sounded.

Flagler will head to the University of Montevallo and resume Peach Belt Conference play on Thursday (Jan. 3).
