The Flagler volleyball team won its second straight Peach Belt Conference Tournament title this past weekend after defeating Augusta State, USC Aiken and Armstrong Atlantic. The Saints (27-8) have won their last three matches and 11-out-of-their-last-12. Head Coach Taylor Mott was selected as the conference's coach of the year for the second time in as many years. 

Dianna Craine was named the tournament MVP after she totaled 34 kills and a team-high 30 digs in Flagler's three matches. Conference Player of the Year Meg Weathersby led the team with 37 kills, hit .397, added 16 digs and recorded 11 total blocks. PBC co-Setter of the Year Rebecca Royal tallied 65 assists.

Second-seeded Flagler continues its 2010 postseason campaign this Friday, Nov. 19, against seventh-seeded Armstrong Atlantic State University at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional in Wingate, N.C. This will be the fourth meeting between the two schools this season. Flagler has swept AASU in all three previous matches.

Weathersby leads the Saints with 496 kills and is fourth in the conference in kills per set (4.03). Flagler has three players (Weathersby, Craine, Laura Beth Lancaster) that rank in the top 15 in the conference in kills per set. Royal is seventh in the Peach Belt in assists per set (6.22). Casey Gnann has paced the defense with 465 digs and is seventh in the conference in digs per set (3.81). First-team all-conference selection Rachel Stacy leads the Peach Belt in hitting percentage (.349).

Armstrong Atlantic had won its five previous matches before falling to Flagler in the conference tournament final last weekend. The Pirates are led by second-team all-conference selections Gwen Clarke and Jessica Santaniello. Clarke is eighth in the Peach Belt in hitting percentage (.255) and is 15th in kills per set (2.38). Santaniello leads AASU with 334 kills and is 10th in the conference in kills per set (2.57). Megan Pando has amassed 1,116 assists and ranks fourth in assists per set (9.07). She is second in service aces per set (0.48). Casey Howett is eighth in the Peach Belt in digs per set (3.60).

The winner of this match will move on to play the winner of the Tusculum-Carson-Newman match on Nov. 20 at 5 p.m.
